I love youtube

My hero whisks my heroine off to Scotland in a Diamond Twinstar DA42. Now I've never seen one, let alone flown in one, but this morning, thanks to youtube, I've been to Biggin Hill Airport and have taken off and landed in this little plane so many times I can smell the jet fuel. And all without leaving my desk. Marvellous.

Don't you just love youtube?!

My hubby is addicted to You Tube but I confess I've never really had a good play with it. Needless to say... flying in THAT without leaving your desk is FABULOUS!!

See your word metre ticking upwards :)

I find You Tube sooooo distracting.

And yes, thankfully the word meter is going up. But that might well be because instead of deleting, I now cut and paste onto the end. Then when I've written say 1000 words, I delete 100 off the end. Much better for the morale!

That's a great idea. Whatever would we do for research without the internet?

Have to say I'm very impressed that you even knew there was a plane called a Diamond Twinstar DA2 to start with. I used to work for a helicopter company and am still clueless about aviation.

I'd love to be able to say I know all there is to know about little planes and from first hand experience, but no. I said to my husband 'I need a little nippy plane which will go from London to Scotland in style', and he said 'Ah, well you'll be needing a Twinstar DA42 then.' A plane-spotting hubby is so handy.

Although, am now quite tempted by the idea of a helicopter!

I remember having a helicopter ride when I was little. It was for mustering and there were no doors. Can you say terrified? I thought I was going to fall out!

I like the idea of deleting words gradually and avoiding the nervous breakdown ;)

My brother-in-law is a helicopter pilot in training so if you have any helicopter-ish questions, let me know!

Nice little plane. I'd only need 1 valium to get on that instead of my usual 2. :-)

As it happens my hubby is flying up from London (to Scotland) in a helicopter today - definitely more exciting than Easyjet!

The internet is great for research but it can be easy to get sidetracked...

I get sidetracked all too easily. Especially when looking up housecoats!

I love the plane, by the way.

I had a 9 minute helicopter ride over Vegas when on my ill fated honeymoon. Once I had full control of my bladder, I really enjoyed it.
