Progress

My new WIP now has a working title of 'Private Relations' (a bit cringe-worthy, I know) and a wordcount of 2800. My heroine now has a fear of failure and my hero now has a handbag-designing ex-drug addict of a sister. I, on the other hand, still don't have much of a plot.

They say that writing the second book is much harder than the first. I don't know about this yet because goodness, it's hard to concentrate when you're waiting for the verdict on revisions...

So interesting about your hero's sister. My heroine's sister is a dead actress and I kinda wanted to make her have died of something sinister but I wasn't sure if this was okay MH. As you are the new queen of MH (well to us wannabees anyway) perhaps my idea would be okay??!

Keeping yourself busy while waiting is definitely the best policy.
Now you've been crowned new queen of MH (I like Rachael's description :-) you'll need to pick a crown, open hospitals, that kind of thing - so you'll have plenty to occupy yourself with...

Right, I'll get off your blog and go and be silly somewhere else ;-) Good luck with the new WIP!

Oh, I thought I'd left a post but it seems to have disappeared!

Rach, please don't go by anything I do! Haven't a clue if the PR/lone wolf idea will be approved. My 'sister with an old drug problem' is a plot point and won't (hopefully) cause too much angst. The hero in my last story did have a dead wife whom he was initially grieving over. But it turned out that he was actually through with grieving (bit of a relief as grief doesn't really go with MH fun and flirty!)

A sinisterly dead actress sister sounds fascinating. Like with all these things I reckon it's in the execution.

Lorraine, I think I may have a tiara somewhere... So useful for all those hospital openings, I find ;)

A working title is to help you write the book. TPTB will do the actual titling.
Currently I am 2 for 10.

Your characters sound intriguing even if you don't have the plot wrapped up yet.

Ah, the difficult second album..:-)

Lucy, I so know where you're coming from. As you can tell from my ridiculously moany blog poasts, I am feeling the same way re the concentrating on anything else.

Maybe just chill until the revisions come? I've almost given up doing anything on my wips until I get mine.

Or I could get on with the other stuff I'm paid to do... ;)

Love the "handbag-designing ex-drug addict of a sister." LOL! :)

Hugs on the plot. Starting #3 today -- and I know what you mean. People, emotions, situation. No idea where it's going or what will happen.

Oh, and I decided to call this one: Book 3. I figure my chances of titling it anything they'll keep is probably nil, so that's how I solved it. :) My title page says, UNTITLED by Lynn Raye Harris. *g*

At the moment I fear the sister sounds more interesting than the heroine! Let's see what happens today...

Lynn, I like your idea of having your book numbers as titles. Imagine the kick you'll get when you type Book 75!!
