In times of recession, it seems, metrosexual is out, beefcake is in. Of course, for lovers of M&B beefcake is always in. But what is beefcake anyway? Is it like meatloaf? And is there any excuse for the photo of Sylvester Stallone?
Your photo cheered me up. I've loved Meat Loaf with a passion since I was 15 (although realise he's not everyone's idea of a hero). Spent one of the best night's of my life with him in Glasgow five years ago. Okay, so there were also approximately 4,999 other people there - but I'd elbowed my way to the stage and was wearing very high heels so had a great view and everyone else faded into insignificance.
Agree about Sylvester Stallone. Don't mean to be harsh, but don't think there's ever a good excuse for a photo of him.
Ah, Suzanne, I was like that about Aha (don't know if I should really confess to that!). Did they ever discover what it was that Meatloaf wouldn't do for love?
BTW did you know that apparently the female equivalent of 'beefcake' is 'cheesecake'?
Lorraine - don't get me started on that 80s music. I still think the best music ever came out of the 80s, though maybe it was the ONLY good thing to come out of the 80s!

Ahhhh Meat Loaf! Who can forget 'Paradise by the dashboard light'?? I'd prefer him over Steven Segal (or Sylvester Stallone) anyday...

Yes, the music of the 80s was fabulous. Not so the rara skirts, legwarmers and pixie boots, which I used to wear in combo.
